I had an Emerson when I was in college. It would only pick up two stations, and the AM band didn't work at all. Occasionally the left speaker would quit working, but if you whacked it just right it played pretty well. It eventually got a beer spilled in to the back of it and that finally put it out of its misery.
Other than that, it was alright, I guess.
