Whaler,

Remember, the driveshaft turns three to four times as many RPM than the halfshafts do. so the driveshaft may need to be balanced where the halfshafts do not. And in a normal car, the driveshaft is much longer (Cobras excepted, of course ), meaning it needs to be checked for straightness too.
