Thanks Steve-O. The problem didn't exist with the old analog 6AL, pn 6420. I called MSD again, this guy also mentioned that the Digital 6AL draws a lot of power. He said that it should be powered directly to the battery. Not really convenient when the battery is in the trunk. But the pos is wired right with the pos battery cable at the solenoid. The neg wire is grounded on the cowl hoop where the old one was. I could wire the neg right to the engine block. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that's where the neg cable from the battery goes.
