Craig, they would looks great with those billboards of yours.

Thanks Rob, I'm up for any suggestions. The best thing so far has been CorrosionX aviation, which slows oxidisation down somewhat but gives the wheels a mild satin finish instead of a nice polished surface. I'll look into the POR-15 Glisten. I just have to make sure it comes off easily if it doesn't work.
