I've had the experience of a stuck throttle, and it will pucker your sphincter in a hurry!
Mine happened while leaving home, about half way down our short cul-de-sac. I had about 100 yards before hitting a T-intersection and having to either stop or turn one way or another. There was precious little time to think fast, shut it off and get it stopped. Not fun. The only saving grace was it was part throttle, not WOT.
The entire throttle assembly has now been replaced - from pedal to carburetor connection.
