Ok there u go I could have sworn I read in multiple places they had a live rear end I stand corrected I did know about the the transverse leaf setup on the 289. Yeah I know meeting modern emissions with a Webber setup would be near impossible another reason that got culled from the dream early in the peace.

Althought I believe if you were to get an older car with a carby engine for example. You only need to comply with the emission standards of the year of manufacture, but from what I have heard from Vic roads it a bit of a grey area. I wouldn't like to be the trial case with out some fairly hefty re assurances from Vic roads that it would meet compliance at $700+ ago you don't want it too fail too many times.
