FWIW, If someone asks if it's "real", they mean whether it was manufactured pre-1968. A "continuation" Cobra is certainly a "real" Shelby by definition, it has an MSO to prove it, but that's not what the rest of us great unwashed mean by "real." We mean is it an "original" pre-1968 car. Calling a CSX 4000 car a "real" Cobra is a game of semantics. Sure, it's "real". But if you use a Shelby MSO definition as a basis for "real", that means the fiberglass bodied 4000 series cars qualify as "real" Cobras. As much as I respect a glass bodied 4000 series car, it's not what most of us "Joe six-pack" guys refer to as a "real" Cobra. Please just stop this crap. Whatever Cobra "original", continuation," "replica," or "kit" you own is one of the baddest cars to crawl the highways. Lighten up, Francis.
