RACERAL Al mount the alt where it fits. As far as the pulleys, Stay away from the underdrive setup. Get the 1-1 ratio for the waterpump and crankshaft. This will help with the charging system. There are a couple of threads about having no charging system at idle and going dead on the road. You can just get another belt for the correct or different length. The couple on HP you save will be balanced out against the correct charging voltage you want the system to have all the time. 13.7-14.2. Just like your other trucks and cars.
Are you looking at a surp belt or "V" drive belts? This info applies to both setups. I think the diameter on the main pulleys are 4 1/2" to 5". Not the smaller ones. Good luck Rick L>
