I had an Audi 10 years ago and I sold it after six months because things kept going wrong with it and the dealer's interest level was sub-zero.
I had a Golf 30 years ago. The body was good and solid, the mechanicals were....sub-zero.
I didn't think VW's integrity level was this low and their arrogance was this high though.
