BTW, there are many fabulous places to view/buy the great watches. The one downstairs at the Venetian comes to mind...Armenian salesman there is pushing me to get a certain Portuguese model. Another is the shop next to the Petrossian cavier bar in the lobby at the Bellagio.
But IMO, the bestest place on the planet is at Harrod's. Several years ago, they created the amazing watch shop off the food court. A central area with some nice brands, with halls shooting off in all directions...each a specific brand's factory boutique. I spent hours in there and somehow walked out without buying a damn thing. Thanksbetogod...the dollar wasn't assactly doing too well against the pound that year. 
That all being said, it's usually best to find a place that carries a multitude of brands and do business with them over time...easier to do trades with someplace that knows you. For me, that's Shrieve & Co. off of Union Square in San Francisco (moving). |
Now you have me interested. What IWC are you looking at. I just sold my Portugese 100 year commemorative. When they came out, they could'nt give them away, now quite collectible.
