The hood was being a bit sticky the day I took those pics and I didn't want to wrestle it off by myself, so no engine pics. Too bad really.

But thanks for the perspective - I am just starting my research on this and it's been awhile since I thought about this car. It is really a passion project to get the car to where my father wanted it. He always had 3 different car projects on the go at any given time and the Cobra never consistently made it to the top of his "let's finish this thing" list.

Just for some historical perspective, this is a Classic Roadsters I car. My father received it in 1991-1992 timeframe. He took a while to do the build and originally planned on it being a track car or was going to register it in Nevada. By the time he decided to get it registered in CA, the company had gone under/changed hands I guess and he was trying to figure out how to get a MCO from Classic.

So, yes I need some advice on how to navigate the DMV registration as well. For example, I know I need wipers. But, will the quick lift bumpers get approved or do I need the street bumpers? The block is stamped 1966 so the smog part should be easy, but I am sure there are many things I am not thinking of that will come up.

Thanks for all the input - much appreciated.
