When someone asks me the "real" question, I tell them that my Kirkham is a current production Cobra, made my Kirkham. And then I show them the section in the Registry, the copy of the Registry that I carry around with me in my car, about the AC/Shelby relationship and proceed to draw parallels between AC and Kirkham, ignoring any questions about the 30-50 year gap in production, the different materials utilized, the different companies, etc.
I finish by saying "There you have it! That's why I have a real Cobra."
