Wind in the hair and torque at the touch of the pedal is what these things are all about.
If those things are an issue for someone then they are looking at the wrong car.
Looks like your off to a good start on mileage.
I never understood the idea of building/buying a car just to have it sit quietly and look pretty. If I wanted something to sit and look pretty I'd get a mute wife.
