Posting the fraud warning here on CC has significantly helped anyone who might have been duped by this alleged fraud attempt.

This clubcobra thread pops up as the #1 Web Result if you google for:
"original Shelby Cobra CSX 3160"
"CSX 3160"

Anyone considering spending six-figures on a car should at the very least be doing a google search on the serial number.

I am curious, though. Does a CSX 4160 exist, and listed in the SAAC registry? Does it list as being in the LA area?

The problem for the owner of the actual vintage CSX 3160 now, is that he/she will have to deal with some skepticism or suspicion when selling the real deal. Easily overcome with proper documentation. Better that than a fraudulent Shelby and somebody getting duped.
