Ford GT PB2-1
Hi guys, I know it's been a long time since this post, but I just came across it on the web. I am one of three of the lucky guys who bid on and got a 2004 Ford GT Pre-Production car. I own PB2-1, which was dubbed the "Sign Off Car" meaning the last prototype that Ford finally used as acceptable to start the actual production of car #1. I still own the car and am proud to be the care taker of such a special part of Ford history. The car was used as a model by Ford when they were planning a Mark II follow up car. So, the car has several special prototype custom one off Mark II engine parts. Some of which have made it into Ford racing parts production.
As of late, I've been contacted by a few people that know I own the car, to sell the car. I assume it's due the rapid rise in value of the street versions and upcoming new car soon to be released. However, I just can't part with it. It is however a little frustrating that I can't (or won't drive a museum piece). 😊
