Ace & Pman,

On the NP threads I use Teflon tape for both fuel and brake fluid. It is important to keep the tape away from the first thread on the fitting so as to not get any loose tape fragments into the fluid lines. The threads on the flare nuts, whether standard flare or inverted flare, need no sealant as the flare provides the seal. I have had good success using this practice for many years on various fluid systems, both high and low pressure.
