I think the $150K price and the resemblance of CCX vs CSX nomenclature might easily confuse a more money than brains collector into thinking this is the deal of a lifetime and he just found a cheap Shelby Cobra. Better jump on that and buy it before somebody else catches on....  |
The car had also been on Cobra Country at $54k then reduced to $49k, so I called them. The guy Andy starts out by saying "Yea we really don't want to sell it." Then why list it? And why $149k when it's elsewhere at $49k? Typo? "No, actually we put the $149k up to discourage people from calling." Then why the hell list it? What gives. "Well look, if you want to make an offer of at least $60k we will consider it." Pass, I am not spending $60k. "Well have you considered a Backdraft? We are a Backdraft dealer and.....blah blah blah."
So it's bait and switch, they are using it to generate leads for their Backdraft business.
