My thanks as well. Great pics, great info. I think I'm going to try to follow the pics of the red car that shows the rivet heads under the vinyl but without the inch wide overlapping (underlapping??) as in mickmate's pics. This will require some careful cutting/trimming but I have plenty of the vinyl and willing to endure some frustration along the learning curve. I'll keep you all posted on my progress.
It is amazing that a question on rivet orientation brings out so much great conversation. Me thinks that the passion (disease?) runs deep among this crowd. Glad to be part of it !!
