I did not install a wasker bottle, got a pass from the state police when they inspected the car.
I did have to install two heat shields: Master cylinders and steering column.
These hang over the headers out from the head on the left side.
The top end was gone over by the NASCAR shop and they installed a .610 CAM. When they did that, I had a good jump in heat as well as HP. It was enough to tip the thermal tolerances.
So, the brakes began to fade and the steering began to stick.
I formed 1/8 aluminum in a firewall mounted bracket to shield the master cylinders and I made a rolled sleeve that is clamped to the steering column.
Both work as expected. I only wish I had design them in at the beginning.
