If they have a gizmo built in to the engine that actually measures the level of contaminants then why do they continue to include the "or one year" language? If I have the
oil changed in my Porsche, and then park it in my climate controlled garage, and don't even turn the key on it for a year, it's absolutely ridiculous to change the
oil in it unless something is leaking in to the oil reserve itself.
