Acknowledge the spacer + heatshield combos are probably more efficient, but I like the cleaner look of just the spacer.

Going to order the QFT ½” phenolic carb spacer from summitracing today. Does it require rejetting? Up or down? Again – trying to solve; 1) hard to start when hot, and 2) bucking/surging/spitting at low speed when hot.

I sailing into somewhat uncharted territory. Never disassembled AN fittings. Assume AN wrenches are a must?

Carb has 7 years & 5k miles on it (yeah – I know…I need to drive it more). Could the bucking be a result of carb deterioration due to today’s fuel? Maybe a rebuild is in order?
