I've noticed that my odometer also turns a little more mileage than it suppose to. My car had a gear swap to 3:31's or 3"27's and I bet they didn't make the speedo gear change. Just a few more of the small things I will be correcting over the summer. DWRAT what do you think?
My speedo also floats around at low speeds, nothing to do with the cable I bet.
You can change the speedo drive gear in your transmission to get a more accurate reading.
