So I sat down and looked the whole thing over again.. Gues what? The belt that is the right size for the water pump and the crank pully is too small for the pully on the alternator. Bought a belt 1/8 inch wider without interupted teeth and problem solved. So, if you have March custom over-drive pulley on your alternator, make sure the belt fits the march pulley aand the waterpump and the crank pulley will handle it just fine..
An 1/8 inch wider, that's a huge stepup.

Guess what has happened to the drive ratio now.

I would replace the alternator pulley with some other brand that IS a match for your crank and waterpump pulleys.

What does March say about this?
