Default 427 fe coolant leak internal engine

Good day
First time posting looking for info. Have a friend who bought a cobra kit car with a 427 fe engine about 6-8 months ago has only put 700 to 800 miles on it since then went to change the oil and coolant drained out then the oil and it was not mixed.I took a look and decided to replace the intake gaskets easy and cheapest place to start cleaned out engine ran with out coolant for a minute or so drain oil and replaced filter. had him put 50 miles on it and drained oil this time it was milky in color mixed oil/coolant ,drained block flushed oil system out psi tested for 24hrs with drain plug out and had water in drain pan.removed right valve cover and took a look at the intake coolant cross over with my inspection camera pass noticed coolant around #3 cyl intake valve lifter finally found the failed area. Were the lifter valley curves up to block deck right above the curved area 1/8in up it was bubbling pin holes in the block about a 1/2 in area in length. Now comes the question he does not have the funds to repair it correctly replacement block what if any are his options i thought about sealing it with rustolem or glyptal paint so he could drive it until he gets the funds for the block. any insight would be helpful.
Thanks John
