I almost bought an ERA GT40 (wrong color for me) and they are really nice just like their Cobras. I agree GT40s are very unique and not for most. For me it was having a Ford 60s performance car with A/C. I looked at the Daytona Coupe as an option but I didn't like the roof line inside coming down right at my left ear. I do miss the Cobra at times but not when it is 95/100 degrees here in Texas! I think at the end of the day if you want a GT40 there are lots of options if you want to buy new depending on what you want to spend. RCR also makes a nice car as well as many others. The one issue is they do not come up for sale used very often....
