I purchased my Backdraft R3 Roadster new in year 2015 with a Roush engine (427R dyno tested at 550 HP and 528 FT-LBS Torque) and a Tremec T56 6-speed tranny. I have driven the vehicle for a year and a half and have observed no engine leaks and only slight bucking at lower RPMs (below 1800). I have no
oil burning problem--the dipstick showed no measurable loss in
oil after the first 1000 miles and no measurable loss since. I live in the Phoenix and have not incurred any heat problems while driving in the hot summer heat (well over 100 F). I must say that I am quite pleased with the Roush powerplant in my Backdraft Roadster. I guess I got a good engine. Sorry to hear about all the 'nightmare' problems with other Roush engine owners.
