I take a thin piece of stainless and hammer it with a leather hammer to match the curve of the fender. Then I polish it and take it to a knife shop that engraves what ever I want on it.
I've done this to five or six Cobras when I move the mirror onto the windshield post.
I use double back tape to hold it on. It's easy to remove if needed.
