Your car sounds like a lot of fun. I can only agree with what you say about the 427. During my hunt last year I could drive a bunch of Cobras, mostly Unique, FFR and SPF cars with 351's, a few strokers, and 427's.
351's were probably the most 'round' engine with best overall car behavior probably due to better weight distribution. The 427's even with less ponies were beasts... You can guess what I went with
