Default Cutting the hard top. How I did it.

I pondered this long, and hard with many a sleepless night.

I just couldn't come up with anything I could use to mimic the curves of the Cobra body onto the hard top.

Finally a stroke of genius, or something like that.

My wife bought a birthday cake that someone didn't pick up. There was a small model tractor on top.

That little tractor sparked an idea.

So what I did was hold a marker on top of the tractor, then pushed the tractor [the tractor wheels rolled, and were soft rubber] around the bottom of the hard top while it was sitting on the body.

Here are a few pics so you can get an idea.

The pictures were after I did one cut, and it fit almost perfectly. I do want the top to sit lower [just a bit about the roll bar which is still higher than my head] for a more stealthy look so I will cut another pass with the jigsaw, and huge fan tomorrow.

I hope this helps anyone else trying to match the top to the body, as I made a thread here in the past about this, and it seemed that everyone was stumped.

Thanks.

You can put a chebby engine into a Ford body, but it will NEVER be a chevrolet. It also shows you're ignorant, and lack imagination, as in its been done to death as in its not an original idea.
