Bob,
It seems to me that the purpose of power brakes is to allow the driver to apply light pressure on the brake pedal to get a strong reaction from the brakes. So it makes sense that power brakes will be more sensitive to brake pedal pressure than manual brakes. Like any other skill, I suspect one could learn to modulate power brakes as well as manual brakes with some practice. ... Both my Cobra replica and my 1963 Corvette have manual brakes and I don't find the brake pedal pressure on either to be uncomfortably heavy.
