Hmmm, the intrigue gets more so.... I have several pics, all taken late 80's/early 90's at HM where there appears to be actually three coupe bodies and perhaps two chassis, one being the complete red car with flip front parting line below headlights/above driving lights. The other two look like they are/have been trial fitted to a 4" coil over chassis. One of these two bodies looks like the one posted on BAT being blue and the other appears to be alloy like the one in the Shelby museum at Boulder.
Both these would appear to hinge the Flip Front like most coupes with the front apron integral to the flip front.
You will have to take my word for this as the pics are private from a friend who worked there.
Perhaps this solves the mystery of where the 'so called' second big block coupe mentioned in 'Shelbys Wildlife' finished up.
BTW both blue/alloy body on chassis have the same FE engine which suggests there was only the one chassis. The red car with non conventional flip front is SBF powered.
