All we use these on FL1 applications. heavy burst proof cade, the base is much thicker with deeper threads to engage the thread on the block and it has an "anti-drain bac" silicone valve to keep oil in the filter (an issue depending upon how the filter is mounted). When Tom Lucas was at my place he gave me one and said, "This is what you should be using". I was under the impression it was new. Didn't realize there were so many FL1's to choose from.
