Dimis,
Thanks for the tip on Jay's book--lots of good stuff in there, including dimensional info.

Sooooo... from lowest to highest on my short list:
  1. Ford Low-Riser 2x4V: 5.5"
  2. Edelbrock F427: 5.875"
  3. Edelbrock Performer RPM: 6"
  4. Ford Police Interceptor 4V: 6.375"
  5. Ford Sidewinder 4V: 6.375"
  6. Blue Thunder 2x4V: 6.625"
  7. Blue Thunder 4V (doesn't matter if it's got CJ or MR runners): 6.75"

Only 1 1/4" difference from the shortest to the tallest. While the Blue Thunder is the tallest, it's only 3/8" taller than the PI or Sidewinder, which are the same height and in the middle of the pack.

The Edelbrock Performer RPM doesn't look as authentic, but makes decent power with a 428 or 427 with aluminum heads, and is 3/8" shorter than the PI and Sidewinders.
