Do you have your drive train in yet? If so one of the most critical measurements will be your oil pan clearance. My 428 CJ rides about 4" off the pavement. Last year when I was running a 302 I had about 5 1/2" clearance. If you are running a McCleod bell housing that might set about 1/2" lower than your oil pan. Also check your lower radiator hose that clearance should be a little more than your oil pan.
