That four speed doesn't have an aluminum tag on it with a number that starts with RUG or HEH on it anywhere? According to David Kee's excellent site, it has a 28 spline output shaft and came out of a 1968-69 LTD, Galaxie or Custom 390. Check for the RUG number and we'll know whether it's a close or wide ratio box.
