As long as pressure is vented, there shouldn't be anything to cause seal leaks.

PCV valves can cause a lot of problems: 1. It's difficult to find a PCV valve for every engine combination 2. If guys don't stay on top of things, you end up pulling oil down into the intake manifold, which causes oil consumption.
