While you might be able to fit a 275/50/15 in the front, I would hesitate to do so as it might rub on tight turns and irrespective of if it does rub or not, it would take a lot to muscle through a turn with any speed and no power steering. That's a lot of rubber on the road up front and if you have sticky tires you had better have forearms like Popeye.
