I took my dash out a couple months ago, in order to add a glovebox and clock, and well, it turned out like crap- several wrinkles in the vinyl, and I just couldn't get them to flatten out, so I ripped it all back out and re-did it again... This time I made a totally new panel, re-drilled for all the gauges and switches, and thankfully, this time it came out looking much better.

I went with a street 289 style layout:

(notice in the pic above that the rollbar is gone too, I took it out in order to strip the chrome off and powder coat it black, but I kinda like the look without it, so I might run it sans rollbar for awhile... )
