You don't need a Class III license but you do have to pay the $200 for the tax stamp.

I guess Hollywood has mis-informed us for ever about the legality of machine guns. There are about 221,000 transferable machine gun for individuals. They must have the paperwork to be legal. In Alabama if you can legally purchase a pistol then you can buy a machine gun. Takes more money a lot more time.

Now it's taking a year for the FBI and ATF/IRS to process the applications for transfer.

Guns I gave $450 for in '92 are now selling for $8,000. Shieees
