That K&N X-Stream top really makes quite a difference in air flow.
BUTTTTTT, if you read the reviews from some of the other forums, there are tons of complaints from guys that say their engines were slower after putting it on. This is because the increased volume of air flow reduces the velocity of the air that is going by the little hole that feeds to the vacuum secondary canister. After putting my new fatter filter and X-Stream top on, my secondaries
didn't open at all. Tweaking the vacuum secondary spring or, in my case, installing an adjustable vacuum secondary canister, fixed it right up. The K&N instructions really ought to red flag this for guys that don't have the time, or patience, to think it all through.
