Back before most cars had been modified, converted to vintage racers, or "restored" this was the commonly found cap. I don't see any FoMoCo(R) identifcation on the visible side. This is an original cap in use on its extremely original Cobra years ago.

As it turns out it is a "14 pound" design also. The the other common version is the chromium plated version that was supplied as a "COBRA" dress up accessory. Were there other versions? Perhaps.

Ford wise this was B8A-8100-A. There were used on various Fords between 1957 (start of 1958 model year) through about 1965-66. The parts made all those years did not stay exactly alike, example one early version had "B8A" stamped on one ear of the cap.
