I’ll say yes but we don't really know what that means. There was a running car in inventory that was pulled to fill an order for the only known Stage I Competition Cobra. The car was retrofitted before retail sale to fill the custom order details.

The SAI work order quoted in the Registry itemizes "..full competition 289 C.I.D. Mustang engine with single hi-riser 715 cfm carb...". What does that mean? Does it mean literally get a racing MUSTANG GT350 specification 6-bolt engine and replace the five bolt engine that was already in the car? Does it mean rework the 5-bolt engine the car already had into a MUSTANG GT350 racing specification assembly? We may never know since the engine the car was sold with is long gone. The “engine number” stamped on the foot box tag is that of a 5-Bolt Ford HP289 engine.
