This forum is definitely a good place to start. Hopefully some coastal enthusiasts have already been in contact.
The Raleigh / Triangle enthusiast group is the closest to you that I know of. If you're on FaceBook, then I just started a
Carolinas Cobra Club group to also help enthusiasts in more remote areas to connect with each other.
I'll hope to catch up next time I have the cobra out New Bern way.
