Of course, some will say they would have lost money and that each one would have cost more to build than the selling price. Not buying that argument. They would have developed procedures where they could have maximized economies of scale, but then, the cars would not have been nearly as exclusive.

Well, that's probably not really true. The cars are hand built, each one, at Ganassi's factory in Canada. They are really behind their projections of a car a day. They are lucky to be doing a couple a week. People that had been given a date (ie, this quarters production) got letters that rescheduled their deliveries. Those who were given a quarter slot for order/delivery were given a new quarter in which their order will be processed.
PS I was one of the 8600 applicants and one of the over 8000 that got a "no" letter with an invite to try for the remaining 250 in year 4. Yeah right, all 8000 of us plus 10000 more. For those who applied and were rejected our original applications will still be there. But remember, it lost
