Re fe
I had a 1958 Ford with the 332 cubic inch engine and every FE block has the number 352 stamped on the front left I think it is. The 429-460 engines are 385 series and have different bolt patterns for the bell housing. I just went and looked at my Torino Cobra and the 352 is stamped on the left front of the motor just below the head. I have been told by Ford that this number is on every FE engine they ever made. I also was told by Ford that FE stood for Fairlane Engine. I guess it stands for whatever the person you talk to thinks. I have often wondered what the real meaning was. Date codes are stamped inside the valve covers and on the other side of the block.
