Not Ranked
A few things that I've learned about my Webers. #1 Take NOTHING for granted, check your float levels. I found a float seam rubbing the bowl wall among other things. #2 It seems everything is more important when running these carbs i.e. spark, timing, AFR, etc. #3 A crappy cruise note is not uncommon but can be remedied. I just kept checking and experimenting, with the last piece of the puzzle being the utilization of vacuum advance after reading an excellent article on the subject. I couldn't believe how much more advance I was getting at no load which is what cruising is. Webers like a lot of all in mechanical advance, it appears that they like a good vacuum advance too. If all else fails, refer to rule #1!
