My '65 K code Ivy Green Mustang notch back (271 hp, toploader). Bought it new in '64 for $3000 and sold it five years later (in perfect condition) for $800 in the LA area. I advertised it for quite a while at a few hundred more and didn't get one call. Dropped it to $800 and got two calls about the same time. One guy didn't show when he said he would and another did and I sold it. As the car was leaving the other fellow drove up, just in time to see the car leaving. He said that he would have given me $1600 and wanted me to call the new owner, which I did. I offered to buy it back for $1500 and he said no. I think at that moment I realized that car was destined to be a valuable classic.
