As my car was going to be a 427 street car, width was never really a problem. But I too talked with the Rocket Racing people about the possibility of 9", 9.5" or even 10.5". They too thought these being a street 427 wheel (and the real ones were 7") going any wider, would no be in character with the org. ones. I thought of going with the standard (now a days) 295-50-15 ,but keeping in character (again) of the org. car stayed with the 60 series look (stance) 275-60-15. And with a 295 on a min of 8" wheel the tire may not sit flat on the ground. Plus as we know, anything over 500HP, the difference between 295 and 275 both tire's will go up in smoke
