What size are the wires feeding the headlights? Typically older cars (and Cobra replicas) were wired with 18-16 ga wire. They aren't large enough for Halogen bulbs, which draw more current . My kirkham ,with it's old time wiring has the same problem with it's sealed beams, as did my '68 and '86 Porsche's when I switched them to H-4's. You need to run bigger wires from relays, and feed the relay's direct to battery through fuse or ckt breaker to maintain 14vdc at the bulb.
