Default In answer to your question.....

I wrote it myself, though adapting it from previous stories I already published, plugging in new info I had read. There also is someone cast as Enzo Ferrari and someone cast as his lead driver and a sexpot playing Claudia Cardinale, a movie star of the time. But with so few cast on the Ferrari side, it's obvious the story is going to be more on the Shelby side. The plotline of Shelby and Miles developing the GT40 from scratch (which is not what happened) is described in VARIETY and other show biz media.

I can only explain that approach by comparing it to the movie about the German sub which had an American crew capturing the sub and retrieving the Enigma code machine. The only trouble is, the Americans did indeed do that in '44 but the British did the same thing in '42 which was much more helpful. But the Hollywood producers wanted to have Matthew McConnoughey (sp?) play the lead so to hell with history....

A good place to show the movie would be Monterey in August....
